Recruitment

The Firm seeks and hires lawyers with strong technical and legal backgrounds. We are interested in hiring associates with prior legal experience and also those just graduating from law school. We are looking for people with all types of technical backgrounds in engineering and hard sciences. Lawyers and students with electrical, computer, mechanical, or other technical backgrounds as well are therefore sought.

Advancement at Pinsky Law to higher levels of responsibility will be determined solely on the basis of demonstrated ability. There is no "lock-step" scheme under which an employee must have been with the Firm for a fixed amount of time before handling particular kinds of matters.  As a result, associates will generally be vested with significant responsibility much earlier in their careers, and may advance more quickly than those of many other firms.

Work at the Firm is by no means confined to the library. In initial years of service, our associates will engage in considerable client contact, travel to clients' places of business, conduct negotiations with government agents and opposing parties and obtain written and oral advocacy experience as well as perform legal research. They will assume a significant role in the handling of all cases - from initially investigating the facts, to developing a theory of the case, to planning and carrying out strategy, to the case or negotiating a settlement.  As a result, they will be able to quickly acquire and refine a wide range of skills.

The Firm seeks to employ individuals who are mature, self-motivated, confident, and hardworking. Strong analytical and writing skills are essential, as are creativity, solid academic credentials and a genuine interest in the law as it affects the technology industry. The Firm is always looking to expand its skills by linking with other professionals, whether engineering, accounting, or finance. The Firm is also always looking to take on qualified and ambitious professionals and welcomes CV’s.
